# Gas Settings
This menu allows you to change the default Gas and Mev Tip settings for buying and selling.
What is Gas?
Gas is the fee for processing Solana transactions, with base gas being the minimum required. Adding "Buy Gas" or "Sell Gas" increases your fee, prioritizing your transaction for faster processing.
What is Mev Tip?
When the Solana network is busy, a Mev Tip lets you pay extra to speed up your transaction. Validators prioritize transactions with higher tips.
Gas Settings Menu
#### **1. Buy Gas**
Select to change the default Buy Gas for manual buys. Buy Gas adds to the block's base gas. If you set 0.001 Buy Gas on a 0.0001 SOL base, your total gas usage will be 0.0011 SOL.
#### **2. Sell Gas**
Select to change the default Sell Gas for manual sells. Sell Gas adds to the block's base gas. If you set 0.001 Sell Gas on a 0.0001 SOL base, your total gas usage will be 0.0011 SOL.
#### **3. Buy Mev Tip**
Set a tip to prioritize your buy transactions when Anti-MEV is on. This tip is added to your Buy Gas. If unchanged, your default tip setting will be used.
#### **4. Sell Mev Tip**
Set a tip to prioritize your sell transactions when Anti-MEV is on. This tip is added to your Sell Gas. If unchanged, your default tip setting will be used.
