Auto Sniping

PreviousFAQsNextBuy Limit Order

Last updated 1 month ago

Auto Sniping refers to automatically purchasing a newly launched token the moment liquidity is added to its trading pair.

To auto snipe a new token launch, you need to obtain the contract address before liquidity is added to the token pair. Follow the channel to find newly deployed contracts for sniping. Keep in mind that most token deployments are scamsβ€”do your own research to find the best tokens to snipe.

How to Set up an Auto Snipe

  1. Enter your maximum spend limit per wallet.

  2. Enter the auto snipe tip amount. (Alternatively, you can combine steps 2 and 3 into a single entry, e.g., 0.1/0.05/1 for Max Spend 0.1, Auto Snipe Tip 0.05, and 1 wallet.)

  3. Check the information menu to ensure your snipe status is "Pending," confirming it was successfully created.

You can cancel pending snipes by clicking the "Cancel" button in the snipe menu.

Important: Review the auto-snipe settings below and adjust them for your snipe.

Snipe Menu

  1. Token: Full token name.

  2. Token Contract: Token contract address (CA).

  3. Status: Status of your pending snipe.

  4. Participating Wallets: Number of wallets participating in the FoF bundle.

  5. Snipe Setup: Displays main snipe settings, including Max Spend, Auto Snipe Miner Tip, and the number of wallets used.

  6. Links: Quick access to blockchain explorers and charting platforms.

This menu allows you to customize your current snipe options. For more advanced settings, click the "Snipe Settings" button.

Enter new values or select red or green to enable or disable options. Review the descriptions below to understand each setting.

1. First Bundle or Fail (FoF)

Banana Gun will always aim for the first buy when trading begins. It can only land on block 0 as the first bundle. It is recommended to have at least 10 participating wallets for this to work effectively. The more wallets you include in First Bundle or Fail, the higher your chance of winning the first buy!

  • Does not work on MEV launches or Deadblock launches.

2. Wallet Change

Choose wallet(s) for trades. You can use multiple wallets at once. If none are selected, your default wallet will be used.

3. Slippage

Set the maximum price change (0–99%) you'll accept. 100% means unlimited slippage.

4. MaxTx or Revert

The bot will only purchase if the token's MaxTx aligns with or is below your specified MaxSpend amount. If a token has no MaxTx, this setting is ignored. For example, if a token’s MaxTx is 2%, and your MaxSpend is 0.1 ETH, the transaction will revert if 2% exceeds 0.1 ETH at the time of purchase.

  • If you revert due to this setting, it will cost you the base GWEI, but you will not lose your tip.

  • Tax applies post-execution.

5. Min (MinToken)

You can set a minimum percentage or amount of tokens you want to buy, ensuring the bot only proceeds if it can acquire at least this amount within your MaxSpend. For example, if you set MinTokens to 1% and MaxSpend to 0.1 ETH, the bot will only execute the purchase if 0.1 ETH is enough to buy at least 1% of the token. If not, the transaction will fail.

  • If you revert due to this setting, it will cost you the base GWEI, but you will not lose your tip.

6. Anti-Rug

Detects and frontruns contract changes that could make your tokens unsellable, selling them before they take effect.

  • Developers often "shake out" bot users with fake tax settings. If Anti-Rug is on, it will trigger.

  • Has an 80–85% success rate and only works on MEV blocks.

7. Transfer on Blacklist

If the developer tries to blacklist your wallet, Banana Gun automatically moves your tokens to your transfer wallet.

  • You must set up a transfer wallet in Banana Gun.

  • Transfer wallets require at least 0.1 ETH to function.

8. Degen Mode

Activate this feature to participate in insider plays designed as "honeypots" to discourage bot users. When enabled, the bot disregards safety tax settings, enabling the purchase of tokens even if they are initially unsellable.

  • Toggle the feature swiftly by typing /degen into the bot.

  • This disables many of our safety featuresβ€”use with caution.

9. Pre Approve

The token is approved after sniping, allowing selling on the second block. If you want to sell in the first or second block, pre-approve the token.

10. Snipe Settings

If you wish to change the settings you launched the snipe with, click on this button.

11. Cancel

You can cancel a snipe by clicking "Cancel." If the message persists after clicking, it means the snipe is canceled, but Telegram may not have deleted the message. In such cases, you can right-click and manually delete the message.

This menu you allows you to change the settings of your current snipe.

  1. Snipe Amount: Set the MaxSpend amount that you allow the bot to use for purchasing the MaxTransaction amount of the token. If MaxTransaction is less than MaxSpend, any excess ETH is returned. If MaxTransaction exceeds MaxSpend, it buys as many tokens as possible within the MaxSpend value (unless slippage is configured).

  2. Snipe Tip: Set the additional ETH you're willing to pay as a bribe to the block builder to get ahead of other snipers. Applies only to unlaunched tokens you plan to snipe.

  3. Backup Tip: Set a backup tip to be used when Backup is enabled. In such cases, the Backup Tip will trigger instead of the Snipe Tip.

  4. Wallets: Adjust the number of wallets for sniping. Defaults to the main wallet if none are selected.

  5. Approve GWEI: Set additional GWEI for approving tokens post-purchase.

  6. Sell GWEI: Set additional GWEI for selling.

  7. Anti-Rug GWEI: Set extra GWEI for selling when front-running a rug or tax change.

  8. Mempool GWEI Limit: Set the maximum GWEI threshold for transactions to avoid excessive fees during high network congestion.

  9. Sim Gas Limit: Set the max gas limit for simulated transactions to optimize execution and prevent excessive fees.

  10. Buy Tax Limit: Snipe triggers only if the buy tax is at or below this limit. If higher, it stays in "pending mode" until the tax drops. Both buy tax and sell tax limits must be met for Banana Gun to fire.

  11. Sell Tax Limit: Snipe triggers only if the sell tax is at or below this limit. If higher, it stays in "pending mode" until the tax drops.

  12. Min Liquidity Limit: The snipe only triggers if the paired liquidity of the token is equal to or above this limit in USD.

  13. Max Liquidity Limit: The snipe only triggers if the paired liquidity of the token is equal to or below this limit in USD.
